Leaf blades 1–6 × 1–4 cm. Peduncles (3–)5–20 mm, stipitate-glandular (at least distally). Disc corollas ca. 5 mm. Cypselae 2.5–3.5 mm; pappus bristles 1–3 mm. 2n = 38.


Phenology: Flowering mostly spring and fall (following rains).
Habitat: Gypseous and calcareous soils in creosote bush scrub-lands
Elevation: 700–1300 m
