Leaf faces sparsely villosulous to glabrate. Peduncles finely villous (hairs spreading-crinkly), sometimes loosely strigose distally. Phyllaries: margins sometimes barely ciliate, abaxial faces sparsely hirsuto-villous to glabrate, essentially eglandular or sparsely minutely glandular. Ray corollas white.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Aug.
Habitat: Clearings in conifer woodlands, subalpine meadows, bogs
Elevation: 900–1800 m
