Shrubs, to 3 m. Stems slightly flexuous, usually pubescent. Leaves 30–170 mm; stipules linear, to 7.5 mm, margins long-ciliate; petiole 15–41 mm, glabrous or appressed-pubescent; pinnae 4–12 pairs, 30–70 mm; rachis 25–140 mm; leaflets 10–30 pairs per pinna, blades oblong, 4–13 × 1.5–3.1 mm, base oblique and truncate, midvein and lateral veins prominent abaxially, apex acute. Peduncles 6–21 mm. Inflorescences usually solitary, rarely 2 or 3, axillary or terminal, pseudoracemes, to 175 mm, 12–17 mm diam.; pedicels present. Flowers: calyx 0.4–1.1 mm; corolla 1.9–3.8 mm; filaments 5.5–7.5 mm. Legumes 30–70 × 6–13 mm, not constricted between seeds.

Phenology: Flowering May–Sep.
Habitat: Dry sites on limestone, thorn scrub, desert grasslands.
Elevation: 900–1600 m.
