Inflorescences: axis recurved or suberect; buds pendent. Flowers: floral tube campanulate, 3–5 mm; sepals reflexed together to 1 side; petals bright pink to lavender, sometimes white- or purple-veined, fan-shaped, 3-lobed, claw with pair of prominent, lateral lobes; stamens 8, unequal, 4 fertile, 4 sterile and reduced. Capsules angled, 8-grooved; pedicellate.
