Plants 20–90 cm. Stems coarsely hirsute and stipitate-glandular. Leaves: petioles 0–4 mm; blades relatively thick, (15–)17–22(–25) × 4–7 mm, margins entire, crenate, or serrate (and strigillose), faces scabrous, gland-dotted.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Stream bottoms
Elevation: 1000–1700 m

Of conservation concern.

Variety terlinguensis occurs in the Chisos Mountains.
