Perennials, 20–70 cm. Stems glabrous or sparsely hirsute. Leaves: basal withering by flowering; cauline faces glabrous or glabrate.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Aug(–sporadically year-round).
Habitat: salt marshes, disturbed areas of beaches
Elevation: ca. 0–10 m

Discussion

Variety glaber is known from Vancouver Island. It apparently can bloom sporadically all year.
