Stems 20–40 cm. Leaves opposite, sometimes alternate.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Rock outcrops, sagebrush shrublands, prairies.
Elevation: 1000–1600 m.

Discussion

Variety oreganus occurs in eastern Oregon and central Idaho.
