Leaf blade: margins with acute teeth, apex acute. Leaflike bracts present throughout, similar to cauline leaves, 0.2–1 × 0.1–0.5 cm. Vertical seeds 0.9–1.1 mm diam.


Phenology: Fruiting late summer–fall.
Habitat: Waste places, especially ± brackish soils
Elevation: 200-2100 m
