Scape 25–60 cm. Umbel (25–)50–90-flowered. Flowers: tepals white or pale pink; stamens exserted, 2–4 mm; ovary crests white or greenish in fresh specimens. 2n = 14.
Phenology: Flowering Apr–May.
Habitat: Grassy slopes in heavy clay soils including serpentine
Elevation: 300–1000 m
Discussion
Allium howellii var. sanbenitense is known only from the inner central Coast Range.
