Plants 2–7(–10) cm. Leaves usually opposite; petioles 0–2 mm; blades ovate or ovate-lanceolate to lanceolate, margins entire or subserrate, faces glabrate; pappi of 2 bristles. 2n = 34.


Phenology: Flowering spring–fall
Habitat: Limestone caprocks
Elevation: 1200–1300 m

Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Variety bisetosa appears to be restricted to a relatively small area in extreme southern Pecos County and adjacent Brewster County.
