Plants 10–120 cm. Leaves glabrous (but for bristly-ciliate margins and midribs), scabrous, or hirsute (not glandular). Involucres 3–6 mm. Anthers yellow to brownish. Pappi 0.
Distribution
w United States (plus N.Y.), nw Mexico.
Discussion
