Young branches gray. Leaves clustered on short shoots; blade light green abaxially, dull green adaxially, narrowly elliptic, 1.5–4 cm, base acute, margins serrulate, apex acute, abaxial surface glabrous or puberulent on midrib and veins, adaxial glabrous. Drupes globose.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jun.
Habitat: Montane forests, sagebrush steppe.
Elevation: 1000–2200 m.
