Racemes usually loose, rarely somewhat congested. Fruiting pedicels 6–12 mm. Fruit valves slightly inflated, membranous; trichomes appressed. 2n = 8, 10, 16, 24.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Steep hillsides, decomposed granite, rocky banks, shale hills, rocky ravines, sagebrush and pinyon-juniper areas
Elevation: 1700-2900 m
