Scape 10–20 cm × 0.5–1 mm. Umbel 6–35-flowered. Flowers: tepals dark reddish purple, apex ± spreading or recurved at tip; ovary crest process margins denticulate to laciniate. 2n = 14.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jun.
Habitat: Open clay (including serpentine) slopes and flats
Elevation: 300–2700 m
