Stems branched from middle, rarely diffuse. Leaf blades 20–30 mm. Fruiting pedicels divaricate, 10–18 mm, 1/2–1 times bracts.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Pinelands, swamps, low wet woods, sloughs, wet meadows, bottomland fields and wet open areas.
Elevation: 0–400 m.
