Stems and leaves densely glandular, nonglandular hairs usually loose, often crinkly. Phyllary apices with distinctly expanded, purplish area. 2n = 18.
Phenology: Flowering May–Sep.
Habitat: Rocky slopes, crevices, talus
Elevation: (500–)700–2100 m
