Leaf blades (1.2–)1.5–3.6 mm wide. 2n = 40.
Phenology: Fruiting mid May–early Jul.
Habitat: Dry to mesic, often sandy, well-drained, acidic soils in open pine and oak woodlands or cleared areas
Elevation: 50–1000 m
