Racemes (somewhat congested), considerably elongated in fruit; central rachis (3–)8–20(–28) cm. Fruiting pedicels often horizontal, sometimes divaricate or slightly reflexed, straight, not whitish, stout, (2–)2.5–4.5(–6) mm, strongly flattened at base. Flowers: petals usually white or lavender, rarely purple, (5–)6.5–9(–10) mm; gynophore slender, (0.5–)0.8–3(–4) mm. Fruits horizontal to divaricate or slightly reflexed, often incurved, sometimes straight, (0.8–)1.5–2.5(–3.3) cm. 2n = 26.
Phenology: Flowering Jul–Aug.
Habitat: Canyons, desert shrub communities, alkaline flats
Elevation: 1000-2500 m
