Leaves: petiole short to long stipitate-glandular; blade pentagonal or heptagonal, deeply lobed. Inflorescences sparsely long stipitate-glandular. Flowers: hypanthium turbinate to campanulate, 1.5–4.9 × 1.2–3.4 mm, sparsely long stipitate-glandular; sepals 0.6–1.2 mm, apex acute to mucronate; petals 0.2–0.7 mm wide; styles 0.4–3.6 mm. 2n = 14, 28.
Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Mixed coniferous forest on talus, slate, serpentine, basalt, or granite base
Elevation: 100-1900 m
Distribution
B.C., Calif., Oreg., Wash.
Discussion
Variety diversifolia occurs in the Coast Ranges, Cascade Range, and Klamath and Santa Lucia mountains.
