Stems hirsute with at least some simple trichomes. Racemes often on distal 1/3–1/2 of scape. Fruits oblong to linear or lanceolate, (5–)7–12(–16) mm; valves: trichomes simple, sometimes with 2-rayed ones; ovules (20–)32–66(–72) per ovary.
Phenology: Flowering Mar–May.
Habitat: Rock outcrops and rocky slopes, glades and barrens, floodplains, meadows, thickets, sandy soil in pastures and prairies, roadsides, desert scrub, pinyon-juniper woodlands
Elevation: 0-2500 m

Draba ammophila A. Heller is an illegitimate name, sometimes found in synonymy with var. cuneifolia.
