Bulbs without basal bulbels, 1.8–2.5 × 1.2–2 cm; inner coat cells obscure, ± regular. Leaves 3–6; blade 1–5 mm wide, margins entire or denticulate. Scape usually solitary, 20–50 cm. Umbel 10–50-flowered, producing capsules and seeds, bulbils almost unknown; spathe bracts usually 3, ovate to lanceolate. Flowers fragrant, 4–7 mm; tepals spreading, white (rarely pink), thin; pedicel linear, stout, becoming subequal, 10–20 mm. 2n = 14, 21.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jun.
Habitat: Generally in sandy or rocky soils, woods or plains
Elevation: 50–1100 m
