Perennials. Leaves cauline, opposite; blades usually simple, sometimes with 1–2 auricles at base (margins dentate). Calyculi of 3–8+ bractlets. Phyllaries 5. Ray florets 4–5, neuter; laminae ± elliptic to oblong, broadest at or near middle, apices entire or 2–3-toothed. Disc florets 10–15+; corollas ochroleucous or pale yellow, lobes 5; style-branch apices ± conic-attenuate. Paleae ± linear. Cypselae ± linear, margins thin, not winged, not ciliolate, faces smooth, glabrous; pappi 0 or (1–)2 cusps (0.1–0.2+ mm). x = 13.
