Flowers: corolla 24–32 mm, tube 7–12 mm, throat abruptly inflated, constricted at orifice, (10–)11–16 mm diam.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Gravelly washes, canyon floors, sagebrush shrublands, pinyon-juniper woodlands.
Elevation: 1600–2700 m.

Discussion

Variety floridus is known from the central Sierra Nevada, the north end of Owens Valley, and the White Mountains of Inyo and Mono counties, California, and the Silver Peak Range of Esmeralda County, Nevada.
