Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Open areas in conifer woodlands, mainly on serpentine soil
Elevation: 500–1700 m

Discussion

Variety daucifolia occurs mostly in valleys along the central Klamath River drainage in Shasta and Siskiyou counties of northern California; a single collection (Applegate 2122, DS and US) is known from extreme southwestern Klamath County, Oregon. Scattered populations occur also in the upper Trinity River drainage in Trinity County, California; some of them have plants with atypically short, 2-fid leaflets.
