Plants forming soft mats; caudex elongated, elastic (creeping). Basal leaves: petiole differentiated from blade (sometimes weakly); blade oblanceolate to obovate. Anthers 1–1.5 mm. Fruits 1.7–3 mm wide.
Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Gravelly or rocky limestone
Elevation: 2300-3500 m
Discussion
Subspecies confluens is found at or above timberline in the Grant, Quinn Canyon, and Schell Creek ranges.
