Distinguished from other subgenera by the combination of seasonal leaves, narrow, long-creeping stems 1–3 mm diam., pinnate-pinnatifid blades with generally greatly reduced proximal pinnae (except Thelypteris simulata), and veins meeting margin above the sinuses. x = 27, 32.
Discussion
Species 1–3 are included in Parathelypteris by some workers (e.g., R. E. Holttum 1976).
