Stems 30–70 cm. Leaves: basal axils ± densely tomentose, terminal lobes 5–30 mm; cauline (1–)2–6. Heads 3–10(–14). Peduncles 2–10 cm. Phyllaries 8–12(–14) mm. Florets 25–60; corollas yellowish, 4–7 mm, throats 2–5 mm, lengths 2–5+ times lobes; anthers 3–4 mm. Cypselae 5–7 mm, hairs 1–2 mm; pappi (1–)1.5–3 mm. 2n = 34.


Phenology: Flowering May–Nov.
Habitat: Sands, gravels
Elevation: 300–1700 m
