Flowers: corolla yellow, rarely yellow and white. 2n = 22.
Phenology: Flowering Mar–Jun.
Habitat: Grasslands, foothills, pastures, roadsides, moist flats.
Elevation: 0–1600 m.
Discussion
Subspecies eriantha was collected in Washington in 1889 near Seattle; this appears to have been an introduction that did not persist. A recent report of this taxon from British Columbia remains to be confirmed.
