Plants 10–120 cm. Leaves glabrous (but for bristly-ciliate margins and midribs), scabrous, or hirsute (not glandular). Involucres 3–6 mm. Anthers yellow to brownish. Pappi 0.
Distribution
Ariz., Calif., Idaho, N.Y., Nev., Oreg., Wash., nw Mexico.
Discussion
Subspecies 2 (2 in the flora).
