Trichomes: rays fused in proximal 1/2. Basal leaves: blades linear-oblong, apex usually acute. Fruits: sinuses absent or shallow basally, deep apically. 2n = 8.
Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Steep slopes, red chiprock, whitish clay and shale, steep talus slopes
Elevation: 1500-2500 m
