Leaf blades shortly ovate to oblong-ovate. Inflorescences: bracts lanceolate.


Phenology: Flowering spring–fall.
Habitat: Dry sandy and rocky areas, pinyon-juniper woodlands, yellow-pine forests
Elevation: 1600-3500 m
