Basal leaves: bases ± tapering. Heads 1(–3). Phyllaries green (tips sometimes red), glabrous. 2n = 46.
Phenology: Flowering late Jun–late Aug.
Habitat: Damp or marshy alpine and subalpine meadows, lake shores, stream banks
Elevation: 1700–3000 m
Distribution
Alta., B.C., Calif., Idaho, Mont., Nev., Oreg., Wash., Wyo.
Discussion
Plants of Packera subnuda var. subnuda are scapiform and usually have a single head.
