Inflorescences panicles, racemes, or corymbs. Flowers unisexual (rarely also bisexual in T. debile and T. fendleri); sepals 4(-6); filaments filiform (to slightly clavate in T. heliophilum). Achenes sessile to nearly sessile.

Distribution

North America, Mexico.
