Peduncles glandular or not, at least ± woolly or cottony. Rays usually 13 or 21. 2n = 18.
Phenology: Flowering Jul–Sep.
Habitat: Meadows and open coniferous woods
Elevation: 400–2500 m
Discussion
Variety ledophyllus grows from central Washington to southern Oregon.
