Pedicels not papillate. Flowers not papillate. Capsules ovoid-conic, apically pointed. Seeds 1.

Phenology: Flowering Mar–Aug.
Habitat: sandy desert areas.
Elevation: 100–600 m.

Discussion

Variety apiculata is known with certainty only from the type specimen. Its taxonomic status is uncertain because it could not be included in molecular evolutionary studies (M. Costea and S. Stefanović 2009, 2010).
