Herbs branched from corky, perennial base or with erect stems and branched above, viscid-glandular, hairs scattered along young stems, straight, spreading, uniseriate, ca. 0.5 mm. Leaves: larger ones 2 times pinnatifid, ultimate lobes obtuse or rounded and usually ± as broad as long. Seeds to 3 mm.
Phenology: Flowering Apr.
Habitat: Open desert, semidesert, calcareous or gypsum hills, bajadas, flats.
Elevation: 800 m.
Distribution
Tex., Mexico (Chihuahua, Coahuila, Durango).
Discussion
Variety latisectum has rarely been collected in the United States, with only one collection known from 30 miles east of Presidio.
