Plants moderate sized and stiff; capitulum moderate-sized and dense golden brown to brown. Stem leaves spatulate, 0.95–1.1 mm, lacerate across the broad apex and entire down the sides, border strongly bordered at the leaf base. Sexual condition unknown.
Habitat: Forming dense carpets and low hummocks in poor fen tundra peatlands
Elevation: low to moderate elevations
Distribution
Greenland, N.W.T., Nunavut, Que., Yukon, Alaska, Eurasia.
