Stems and leaves densely glandular, nonglandular hairs usually loose, often crinkly. Phyllary apices not purplish or differently colored from proximal portion.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Ledges, rocky sites, commonly serpentine, pine, pine-oak
Elevation: 300–2000 m
