Plants 10–30 cm. Leaves basal and cauline; basal mostly 2-pinnately lobed; cauline usually pinnately lobed, rarely 3-fid. Heads (3–)4–20. Involucres 3–4(–4.5) mm. 2n = 18.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Wet, ± alkaline meadows, flats, seepage areas
Elevation: 1300–2100 m
