Herbage usually pubescent to tomentose, sometimes glabrate or glabrous. Leaf blades ovate, basal lobes usually rounded or 1-pointed and not spreading, sometimes slightly spreading and 2-pointed, basal sinus acute. Bracts distinct from sepals, 16–25 × 10–20 mm, proximally flat or keeled, apex obtuse to rounded. Flowers: corolla pink, 45–70 mm; stamens 24–32 mm.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Disturbed sites, grassy banks, rocky shores, salt marshes.
