Leaves relatively less firm, basal proximally tapering, glabrous, abaxial midvein sometimes glabrate. Cypselae glabrous. 2n = 18.


Phenology: Flowering Aug–Oct.
Habitat: Deciduous and conifer woods, margins of clearings, shaded roadsides
Elevation: 0–1000+ m
