Culms 10-45 cm, glabrous. Cauline sheaths glabrous; blades flat or involute, glabrous on both surfaces. Primary panicles well-exserted above the basal tuft of blades. Spikelets 1.1-1.4 mm, glabrous. 2n = 18.
