Innovation blades similar to the cauline blades; cauline blades usually involute, slightly thick, not fleshy. Calluses with a crown of hairs, hairs 0.1-0.2 mm; lemmas villous on the keels and marginal veins for 1/3-1/2 the lemma length, hairs about 0.13 mm. 2n = 42.
