Herbs, perennial, rhizomatous, erect or decumbent, simple or branched, 10-50 cm, strigose, without black, glandular dots. Leaves usually opposite or whorled, sometimes proximal leaves alternate; petiole ca. 1/4 length of blade, with ascending, incurved hairs.
