Plants large. Stems long, branches few or absent. Leaves distinctly falcate-secund, 1.5–2.5 mm; apex long-acuminate; medial laminal cells elliptic, corners rounded, usually longer than wide, prorulae indistinct.


Phenology: Capsules mature Jun–Aug.
Habitat: Mineral soil, soil over boulders and outcrops
Elevation: moderate to high elevations (600-2100 m)
