Distinguished from other subgenera by the combination of evergreen leaves, shallowly to deeply lobed pinnae, and stellate or furcate hairs on the stem scales, along the petiole and rachis, especially in the adaxial grooves, and sometimes on the blades. x = 36.
Discussion
Species 17–19 are included in the genus Goniopteris by some workers..
