Stems often puberulent. Leaves: blades 20–60(–80+) × 3–25(–35+) mm, lobes lanceolate to linear or filiform, apices apiculate. Phyllaries greenish, faces arachnose to villous. Ray laminae 5–6(–10) mm. Disc corollas 2–2.5 mm (including spurs). Cypselae 0.8–1.3 mm. 2n = 18 (Europe, Africa).

Habitat: Disturbed sites
Elevation: 0–200 m
