Stems erect to ascending. Flowers: sepals and petals usually pale blue to lavender, rarely pink or white. Capsules globose. 2n = 24.


Phenology: Flowering Feb–Apr.
Habitat: Rocky serpentine slopes and ridges, chaparral.
Elevation: 200–800 m.
