Stolons spreading-hairy. Leaves: petiole spreading-hairy (usually densely so); leaflet blade green to bright green, not glaucous, terminal leaflets slightly rhombic to broadly elliptic, not leathery, margins sharply serrate throughout, teeth: relative number 0.2–0.5. Peduncles and pedicels spreading-hairy (usually densely so). Flowers 14.8–25.5 mm diam. (pistillate), 19–29.8 mm diam. (bisexual and staminate). Fruits: bractlets slightly clasping or spreading to ± reflexed. 2n = 56.


Phenology: Flowering spring.
Habitat: Forest openings, forest edges, meadows
Elevation: 200–1000 m
