Bulb tunic not membranous, with numerous coarse fibers. Panicles nearly prostrate or with branches diverging widely from base, 3–4 dm or shorter. 2n = 36.
Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Found along immediate coast, on wind-swept bluffs and hills
Elevation: 0–100 m
